Commitment to Affordability
Affordability is one of the dimensions of our educational philosophy. We believe that contemporary, authentic yet affordable education is what gives our students the opportunity to maximize their potential. The cost of one credit hour at IUMN is $50.00, making each three credit course affordable, at $150.00.
Tuition Policy
Fees
All prospective students are required to pay a $25.00 non-refundable application fee upon submission of the IUMN Application.
Tuition
IUMN charges $50.00 per undergraduate credit and $75.00 per graduate credit. Each course is three credits; therefore the cost of each course is $150.00 for undergraduate students, and $225.00 for graduate students.
Payment
Students are responsible for satisfying their full tuition fees at the time of registration, or before the beginning of the semester.
Add/Drops and Changes
All add/drops or changes must be submitted in writing. Add/drops or changes may be requested by email, but are confirmed only with proof of receipt by the IUMN. Telephone requests to add, drop or change courses must be confirmed by the student’s completion of required forms at the IUMN office.
Refunds
A student who withdraws from a course may receive a full (100%) refund of tuition for courses dropped within one week of the start of the semester. Students may receive a 50% refund of tuition for courses dropped by the end of the fourth week of the semester, provided the course(s) has/have 10 or more students. If the course has fewer than 10 students then there is NO refund after the first week of the semester. There is NO refund for any course dropped after the end of the fourth week of the semester.
Assistance
Some financial assistance is available from the IUMN in the form of scholarships. Two types of IUMN scholarships are available: scholarships for new Muslims, and financial-need scholarships. For more information about IUMN scholarships, please visit

Funds may also be available to IUMN students through external organizations. These organizations are not affiliated with IUMN; they have their own application procedures and apply their own conditions. We strongly encourage students to visit the websites of other organizations and apply for funding whenever possible. A list of some resources for possible funding is given
